The Association for Sociologists of Education of Nigeria is a national organization that values diversity of thought, culture and people whose activities are directed toward improving learning and society. ASEN members are be found in Colleges of Education and Universities and in other places where educational change takes place.

ASEN members include instructional designers, researchers, professors, teachers, and other professionals united by a passion to erase all barriers (race, gender, sex, sexual orientation disability, religion, ethnic origin, circumstances of birth) in order to ensure that every human person is able to realize their potential.

The National Association of Sociologists of Education of Nigeria was resuscitated in year 2007 at Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Jos. Since then ASEN has committedly held her Annual Conferences in different educational institutions.

Our members serve in many different settings which include education, non-governmental organisations, military, health care, and other environments. ASEN members fulfil a wide range of responsibilities in Nigeria.

The Association publishes her Journals annually. Article published in the Annual Journal are products of presentations at the annual conferences. After presentations, the papers go through rigorous peer review before final acceptance.
